Rustic Flax

Rustic Flax combines a warm grey-brown tone with a fine, closely woven surface. Draped into soft folds, the fabric shows subtle shifts between pale flax highlights and deeper charcoal shadows.

About this fabric

The visible surface is a small-scale, even weave rather than a printed motif, giving this colourway a quietly tactile character. Its flax-grey tone sits between soft taupe and weathered grey, with a restrained warmth that keeps it from appearing stark. The fine cloth gathers fluidly in the swatch image, while the dense woven texture adds gentle depth where the folds overlap. No composition, width or rub-test specification has been supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Pair Rustic Flax with chalky whites, warm stone and aged timber for a calm, natural room, or use its deeper grey undertone to temper darker wood and charcoal accents.

Use this softly textured flax-grey neutral to bring quiet warmth to upholstery, curtains or layered natural schemes.

Pairs well with

Rustic Flax is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
