Simla Red

Simla Fabric

Simla Red brings a deep berry-red ground together with an ivory pattern of scrolling foliage and paisley-like forms. The gathered swatch shows how the contrasting motif remains legible through the folds.

About this fabric

The rich red ground reads as warm and saturated, while the ivory markings create a high-contrast, handcrafted-looking surface. Repeating paisley shapes, curling leaves and fine linear details give the design a medium-scale decorative rhythm. In the photograph, the cloth has a softly tactile appearance and forms rounded folds rather than lying completely flat. No composition, width, rub test or performance specification has been supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Pair Simla Red with warm ivory, aged timber and restrained brass to balance its strong berry tone. Its detailed foliate pattern can add depth to a statement chair, bench or coordinated curtain scheme.

Use the deep berry-red ground and ivory foliate pattern to bring richly detailed colour to upholstery or softly structured window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
