About this fabric

The swatch shows a dense-looking woven ground in rich sapphire blue, with darker threads creating a muted, near-charcoal cast through the surface. Fine horizontal and vertical irregularities form a subtle crossweave, adding tactile movement rather than a printed pattern. The close, substantial-looking weave makes this colourway well suited to upholstery, where its depth can give chairs, footstools and sofas a composed presence. In brighter light, small variations within the blue prevent the shade from reading as flat or overly saturated.

How to use it

Pair this cool sapphire with pale stone, warm oak or soft grey to draw out its depth, or use it against darker timber for a more enveloping scheme. Its quiet texture works particularly well on tailored seating where the blue remains the main visual statement.

A deep, cool blue woven texture that brings quiet depth to upholstered seating and occasional pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
