About this fabric
The colour reads as dense ebony rather than flat black, with pale charcoal threads and irregular grey flecks catching across the vertically striated weave. Its distressed pattern moves between narrow lines, cloudy marks and slightly lighter rubbed-looking areas, creating depth without a separate decorative motif. No performance features are noted for this fabric, so its suitability should be considered from the visible dense, upholstery-weight appearance and the intended application.
How to use it
Use this dark charcoal-black colourway on a structured armchair, sofa or headboard where its vertical texture can add depth without introducing a strong graphic pattern. Pair it with warm timber, aged metal and lighter neutral walls to keep the ebony tone from feeling overly stark.
A deep ebony ground with distressed charcoal striations, suited to tailored upholstery with a darker, architectural feel.
Pairs well with
03 Ebony is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
