About this fabric

The colourway moves between muted olive, grey, charcoal and pale stone, giving the surface a cool, mineral-like depth. Broad vertical divisions are visibly overlaid with uneven horizontal striations, so the pattern feels assembled rather than sharply geometric. Lighter bands appear hazy and diffuse, while the darker olive-charcoal areas add weight and contrast. The softly textured appearance makes this a versatile textile for upholstery or drapery where a subdued abstract statement is wanted.

How to use it

Pair Cornelia Empress with warm grey, weathered timber and olive accents to echo its smoky, grounded tone. On upholstery, use the darker bands to add visual depth; at a window, the pale striations can keep the scheme feeling atmospheric rather than heavy.
