Hepworth Driftwood

Beach Fabric

Hepworth Driftwood has a calm, weathered appearance, combining taupe, stone and grey flecks across a finely woven surface. The close-up reveals a gently irregular texture rather than a printed motif.

About this fabric

This Beach collection fabric is woven with a dense, fine-grained surface that reads as a muted taupe-grey from a distance. Small shifts between warm beige, mushroom and cool grey give the cloth a softly mottled depth, while the low pile keeps the finish understated and matte. Its balanced visual weight makes it suitable to consider for both upholstery and drapery. No composition, width or performance rating is supplied for this fabric, so suitability should be confirmed against the intended application.

How to use it

Use Driftwood as a quiet neutral on an occasional chair, sofa or full-length curtain, pairing its warm grey-taupe tone with pale timber, chalky walls and deeper brown accents. Its restrained texture also works well alongside linen-look plains without introducing a strong pattern.

Its softly mottled taupe-grey weave brings quiet texture to upholstery, curtains and layered neutral schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
