About this fabric

The colour sits between soft grey and muted beige, with a restrained warmth that keeps it from reading as stark or silvery. In the close-up, delicate vertical striations break up the small woven grid and create gentle movement as the light changes across the cloth. Its tactile, closely set weave has a relaxed, natural appearance rather than a smooth or glossy finish. No composition, width, rub-test or performance specification has been supplied for this exact colourway.

How to use it

Pair Bluff Seal with chalky whites, pale timber and warm stone for a calm, tonal scheme. Its softly warm grey ground also works well as a quiet counterpoint to deeper taupe or charcoal accents.

Use this softly warm grey weave to bring quiet texture and gentle vertical movement to upholstery or window treatments.

Pairs well with

Bluff Seal is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
