Rajasthan Rust

Archive Collection FabricRAJASTHAN COL 2

Rajasthan Rust presents a dense, illustrative botanical scene against a soft stone-coloured ground. Rust-red foliage, deep plum blooms and olive-green leaves create a warm, garden-like composition with considerable visual depth.

About this fabric

Large clustered plants, feathery fronds and smaller sprigs overlap across the surface, while the varied outlines and fine internal details give the design an archival, hand-drawn character. The colour balance is distinctly warm: brick and terracotta rusts sit beside wine-plum flowers, muted olive leaves, mustard accents and the quieter stone background. The darker botanical groupings create a strong sense of depth, with occasional pale flowers and green leaves lifting the pattern. No composition, width, rub test or performance specification has been supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Rajasthan Rust as full-length drapery where its deep plum and rust foliage can read as a dramatic garden backdrop. Pair it with warm timber, aged brass and understated stone or olive upholstery to echo the quieter tones in the ground and leaves.

A richly layered botanical colourway, pairing warm rust and plum with olive foliage on a soft stone ground.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Rajasthan Rust without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
