Persian Wood Desert

Archive Collection FabricPERSIAN WOOD COL 2

Persian Wood Desert presents a densely illustrated landscape on a warm terracotta ground, with branching trees, palms, flowers and tiny figures woven through the scene. Its earthy base gives the colourway a distinctly sun-baked, storybook character.

About this fabric

The warm terracotta background creates a deep, grounded tone, set against olive, sage, cream and dark brown foliage. Layered palms, flowering shrubs and curling branches fill the surface, while small figures on horseback and distant landscape bands add a pastoral narrative. Pale blossoms and fine dark outlines lift the dense composition, preventing the rich ground from feeling flat. Overall, this colourway reads as formal, intricate and warmly atmospheric rather than bright or tropical.

How to use it

Use the warm terracotta ground to anchor an occasional chair, headboard or full-length curtain, pairing it with natural timber, aged brass and quiet cream upholstery. The olive and sage foliage also gives scope for restrained green accents elsewhere in the room.

A richly detailed scenic pattern that brings warm terracotta depth and layered botanical character to upholstery or drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
