About this fabric

The fabric has a dense 345gsm handle and 37 threads per cm, making it well suited to upholstery applications. Its 130cm usable width is filled with large paisley motifs, with a 77cm vertical repeat and 130cm horizontal repeat creating a strong, ordered layout. In this colourway, muted spice and russet tones sit against an olive-tan ground, while dark outlines and small floral details sharpen the pattern. The standard length is 35 metres, useful when planning multiple upholstered pieces or a coordinated scheme.

How to use it

Use Jayshree Spice/Russet to upholster a reading chair, headboard or occasional sofa where its warm russet paisleys can act as the room’s focal point. Pair it with tobacco leather, olive textiles and softly aged timber to echo the colourway’s earthy depth.

Use this richly patterned russet colourway on statement upholstery, balanced with warm neutrals and aged wood.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
