Jayshree Celadon/Multi

Indienne Fabrics FabricZOF0026-02

Jayshree Celadon/Multi places repeated paisley motifs across a cool, pale celadon ground, with coral, pink, mustard, cream and dark detailing giving the surface its lively depth. The narrow patterned borders at each side frame the dense central design.

About this fabric

The colourway reads as a fresh blue-green celadon rather than a warm green, allowing the coral, rose, yellow and charcoal accents to stand out clearly. Large teardrop paisleys are arranged in horizontal rows, with smaller scrolling floral details filling the spaces between them and a fine ornamental border running along the edges. At 345gsm and 37 threads per cm, this is a substantial, closely constructed furnishing fabric suited to considered upholstery applications; no performance features are noted. The design has a 77cm vertical repeat and 130cm horizontal repeat, so pattern placement should be planned carefully on larger upholstered pieces.

How to use it

Pair the cool celadon ground with warm ivory, pale timber or muted coral accents to balance its intricate multicoloured pattern. It would make a distinctive statement on a tailored armchair, bench or upholstered headboard where the large paisley repeat can be properly displayed.

Use this cool celadon ground to bring ornate paisley colour and structured pattern to an upholstered chair, ottoman or headboard.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
