Foreman VI

Gawthorpe FabricFOREMANCOLVI

Foreman VI has a quietly layered sage-green ground filled with pale, scrolling botanical forms. The low-contrast colouring gives the pattern a softened, timeworn character rather than a bright floral impression.

About this fabric

The visible design is a dense, medium-scale arrangement of curling leaves and floral scrolls, worked in pale stone and sage tones. Its muted green base reads cool and gently greyed, while the lighter motifs catch across the surface to create subtle depth. The swatch has a tactile, finely textured appearance suited to upholstery rather than a smooth, fluid drapery cloth. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Foreman VI on an occasional chair, headboard or compact sofa where its greyed sage tone can sit comfortably with oatmeal, mushroom, aged timber and brushed brass. Keep surrounding patterns quieter so the intricate pale foliage remains legible.

Use this softly muted sage botanical on a traditional or relaxed upholstered chair, balanced with warm neutral plains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
