Jay I

Gawthorpe FabricJAYCOLI

Jay I brings an elaborate botanical composition to a deep teal-green ground. Blush-pink blooms, powder-blue leaves and pale sage scrolling foliage create a softly faded, painterly contrast.

About this fabric

The cool teal background gives this colourway considerable depth, while the muted blush flowers introduce a warmer, timeworn note. Large chrysanthemum-like blooms sit among curling leaves, airy tendrils and smaller scattered blossoms in pale sage, blue and dusty cream. The design is richly filled across the visible surface, with the tonal palette keeping its ornate floral character softened rather than bright. No composition, width or rub-test specification has been supplied for this colourway, and no performance features are noted.

How to use it

Use Jay I on a statement armchair, occasional chair or upholstered headboard where its deep teal ground can provide visual weight. Balance the ornate pattern with plain warm neutrals, dusty pink and pale blue-grey textiles.

Pair the cool teal ground with warm timber, aged brass and blush or natural linen accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
