Jay VII

Gawthorpe FabricJAYCOLVII

Jay VII sets an elaborate botanical design against a muted mauve-plum ground. Large curling leaves, stylised blooms and small birds create a richly layered, traditional impression.

About this fabric

The swatch is dominated by a dusky mauve ground, giving the colourway a cooler, softened depth rather than a bright jewel-tone effect. Sage and olive-green scrolls wind between cream and pale peach flowers, while small bird motifs add movement across the design. The large-scale arrangement and finely detailed florals give Jay VII a luxe, decorative presence suited to upholstery. Its balance of faded warmth and plum-toned contrast makes it particularly effective where a statement textile is wanted without a highly saturated finish.

How to use it

Pair Jay VII with chalky cream, aged sage and weathered wood to draw out its softened botanical palette. Use it on a feature armchair or occasional sofa, with plain mauve or green textiles keeping the surrounding scheme calm.

Use this ornate mauve colourway to bring layered botanical character to a statement chair, sofa or headboard.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
