About this fabric

The large-scale design is strongly architectural, with a central scrolling arrangement framed by mirrored foliage and floral flourishes. Deep purple remains visible between the motifs, while the grey-violet pattern appears softly weathered rather than sharply contrasted. The woven-looking surface gives the colourway a dusky, tactile character, balancing formal ornament with a slightly aged finish. As a fabric with a substantial visual presence, it is particularly suited to upholstered statement pieces.

How to use it

Pair this cool, muted imperial purple with charcoal, aged grey and dark timber for a moody formal interior. On a buttoned chair or footstool, the symmetrical damask can act as the room’s principal decorative accent.

Use this richly patterned purple upholstery on statement chairs, ottomans or occasional seating where its charcoal-grey detail can be appreciated.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
