Penelope Peacock Col 1

Penelope Peacock Col 1 is a richly illustrated textile showing a blue peacock among coral poppies, curling stems and sage foliage. Its warm ivory ground keeps the densely detailed scene light enough to read clearly.

About this fabric

Catalogued as a fabric, this colourway has a softly textured-looking ground in warm ivory, giving the printed-style imagery a gently aged, heirloom character. The central peacock is worked in layered peacock blue, slate and ochre-like beige, with the feather eyes creating repeated blue-and-rust accents. Coral-red poppies bring concentrated warmth across the design, while sage-grey leaves and stems soften the contrast. The large-scale composition is particularly apparent in the close view, where the bird, flowers and trailing foliage fill the surface.

How to use it

Use this warm ivory, coral and peacock-blue colourway on a statement chair, headboard or full-length curtains, then echo the sage foliage in painted cabinetry or cushions.

Pair the warm ivory ground with weathered wood, painted furniture and muted blue or sage accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
