Whitewell Royal Navy is a deep, cool blue textile with a compact, finely textured weave. Its close-up surface shows subtle tonal variation rather than a printed motif, giving the colour visual depth.

About this fabric

The even woven construction creates a softly granular surface, with tiny shifts between blue and darker navy visible across the swatch. The shade reads as a saturated but restrained royal navy, cooler and more textural than a flat solid blue. No performance features, composition, width or rub-test data are supplied for this fabric. The close, firm-looking weave makes it best suited to tailored upholstery applications.

How to use it

Use Whitewell Royal Navy on a sofa, armchair or dining chair where its cool depth can anchor paler walls, warm timber and brushed metal. Keep surrounding textiles quiet to let the fine woven texture provide the detail.

Use this deep, cool blue weave to bring quiet colour and tailored texture to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
