Basket Chalk Fabric

Misc Fabric

Basket Chalk has a softly chalked ivory appearance, with a fine woven grid that gives the otherwise quiet surface subtle depth. Its restrained tone reads light and gently warm rather than stark white.

About this fabric

The close basket weave is clearly visible across the swatch, forming tiny, softly irregular checks in pale ivory and muted grey-beige threads. Light catches the raised crossing points lightly, keeping the surface tactile without creating a pronounced pattern. The calm, low-contrast colourway can work across both upholstery and drapery based on its versatile woven appearance. No composition, width, rub test or performance feature is supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Basket Chalk on a relaxed armchair, headboard or full-length curtain where its chalky ivory tone can soften darker timber, stone and aged metal.

Pair its chalky ivory tone and fine basket weave with natural timber, linen and softly aged finishes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
