About this fabric

The fabric has a restrained plain weave, with tiny intersecting threads creating a delicate crosshatched grain rather than a pronounced pattern. Hazel Chalk’s low-contrast colour reads light and airy, while the subtle grey cast keeps it from looking strongly cream or yellow. The even surface appears suitable for both upholstery and drapery applications where a quiet, textural finish is wanted. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Hazel Chalk to soften a light-filled sitting room, pairing its chalky greige tone with pale oak, warm white walls and deeper taupe accents. Its unobtrusive weave also works well on relaxed curtains or a simply upholstered occasional chair.

Pair this quiet chalky greige with natural timber, warm whites and softly textured furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
