House Chenille Chalk | House Fabrics

Misc Fabric

House Chenille Chalk is a pale, chalky neutral with a warm ivory-grey cast. The close chenille surface gives the plain fabric a softly brushed appearance, while the fine weave adds barely visible depth.

About this fabric

This colourway reads as a muted chalk shade, sitting between soft ivory and light warm grey rather than a stark white. Its plain face is enlivened by a fine woven texture, with the short chenille surface diffusing the light across the swatch. The low-contrast construction keeps the appearance calm and versatile, while the subtle tonal variation prevents it from looking completely flat. With no motif competing for attention, the fabric’s character comes from its gentle pile and quiet woven grain.

How to use it

Use the warm chalk tone to soften a neutral living room, upholstered headboard or occasional chair, especially alongside pale timber, linen and warm grey accents. Its understated texture also works well where a plain fabric is needed without introducing a strong pattern.

A softly textured chalk chenille that brings quiet warmth to upholstered seating and headboards.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
