About this fabric

Kongo Powder reads as a soft blue-grey, close to a powder wash rather than a strong blue. Across the surface, understated ivory marks form alternating short horizontal bars and angular, bow-like motifs. The low-contrast pattern gives the swatch a quiet rhythm, while the fine, slightly textured face keeps the colour from looking completely flat. Its cool, pale tone will sit lightly in a room rather than creating a dramatic focal point.

How to use it

Use this cool powder blue-grey on a relaxed sofa, occasional chair or full-length curtain where the subtle repeat can add interest without becoming dominant. Warm timber and creamy neutrals would bring gentle contrast to the ivory markings and cool ground.

A cool powder blue-grey ground and quiet ivory repeat suit relaxed upholstery, cushions and airy curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
