About this fabric

As a velvet, Medici is particularly suited to upholstery, where its dense-looking pile gives the deep indigo shade a substantial, luxurious presence. The surface is free from a visible motif or repeat, while fine directional changes in the nap create softly mottled patches of lighter and darker blue. This cool, saturated colour becomes nearly black in the deepest areas and reveals a muted blue sheen where the light catches the pile.
