About this fabric

Catalogued as a velvet, this colourway has a dense-looking surface with visible nap variation rather than a printed motif or woven pattern. The bronze tone sits between aged brown and muted gold, giving the swatch a dusky, burnished character. Light catches the pile unevenly, creating gentle patches of lighter bronze and deeper umber across the face. Its weight and plush appearance make it particularly suited to upholstery where that tonal movement can be seen across a larger surface.

How to use it

Pair this warm bronze-brown with walnut, smoked oak, aged brass and earthy neutrals for a cocooning scheme. On a sofa, headboard or occasional chair, its low-contrast nap adds depth without introducing a competing pattern.

Use this softly shaded bronze velvet to bring warmth and depth to upholstered seating or statement furniture.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
