Millbrook Ivory

Essential Weaves Vol 3 FabricEWV3MILLBROOK

Millbrook Ivory is a softly tonal woven fabric with a small-scale zigzag pattern that reads almost like a quiet herringbone from a distance. Its ivory ground and slightly deeper cream motif give it a light, airy look without feeling flat.

About this fabric

Part of Ashley Wilde’s Essential Weaves Vol 3 collection, this drapes-only fabric is composed of 68% Recycle Polyester, 26% Cotton and 6% Polyester. The weave is shown here in a pale ivory ground with an understated geometric abstract pattern that sits just one shade deeper, creating a subtle matte-on-matte effect. With a width of 139cm and a weight of 225gsm, it has enough substance for elegant curtain making while still keeping the overall impression soft and refined. The small 6.5cm vertical and 7.5cm horizontal pattern repeat keeps the design finely scaled and easy to live with in bright, calm interiors.

How to use it

Use Millbrook Ivory for full-length curtains or relaxed blinds where you want the geometry to register gently rather than dominate. Its warm ivory tone pairs well with natural woods, chalky paint colours and soft stone textiles.

A pale, quiet zigzag weave that keeps a room light and airy.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Millbrook Ivory without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
