Mowsley Graphite

Essential Weaves Vol 3 FabricEWV3MOWSLEY

Mowsley Graphite shows a tightly repeated trellis motif in a cool, muted grey. The fine pale pattern sits cleanly against the darker ground, giving the swatch a crisp, understated look.

About this fabric

Part of the Essential Weaves Vol 3 collection, Mowsley Graphite is a drapery fabric woven in India and specified for drapes only. Its composition of 68% recycled polyester, 26% cotton and 6% polyester gives the cloth a neat, lightly structured handle, while the 145cm width and 225gsm weight support a practical curtain make. The small-scale pattern repeat of 4cm vertical and 3cm horizontal creates a measured, orderly surface that reads as graphic without feeling bold. In this colourway, the graphite ground looks cool and softly weathered, while the pale motif brings just enough contrast to keep the pattern clear from a distance.

How to use it

Use this graphite colourway for Roman blinds or full-length curtains where you want a calm, tailored finish. It works especially well with pale timber, brushed metal and soft white paint.

Pairs neatly with pale plaster, oak and crisp white for a tailored, restrained scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
