Mizumi Viridian

Mizumi Fabric

Mizumi Viridian combines a deep, cool teal ground with irregular pale brushwork that breaks across the surface like weathered pigment. The tonal variation gives the swatch a softly layered, atmospheric depth rather than a flat, uniform colour.

About this fabric

Broad, distressed vertical marks in chalky blue-white move through the viridian ground, while the lower area reads as more fluid and softly blurred. Fine striations remain visible beneath the painterly effect, adding tactile texture and allowing the colour to shift subtly with the light. Catalogued as a fabric from the Mizumi collection, this colourway has no performance features noted. Its substantial-looking, textured surface makes it particularly suited to upholstery where its broad abstract movement can be appreciated.

How to use it

Use Mizumi Viridian on a statement armchair, headboard or occasional sofa, pairing its cool teal depth with pale oak, brushed metal and warm ivory textiles. Keep surrounding patterns restrained so the chalky vertical brushwork remains the room’s main visual texture.

A cool, atmospheric teal with pale distressed brushwork and a softly striated surface for statement upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
