Black Edition

Ilana Spice

Ilana Spice is a softly warm taupe-beige textile with a close, understated weave. Fine horizontal variation across the surface gives this plain colourway gentle depth rather than a completely flat finish.

About this fabric

The swatch shows a dense woven surface in a muted spice tone, balancing beige warmth with a subtle taupe cast. Fine horizontal lines and slight irregularities catch the light softly, creating a tactile, quietly textured appearance. Its visually substantial weave makes it best suited to upholstery. No composition, width or rub-test information has been supplied for this fabric, and no performance features are noted.

How to use it

Use Ilana Spice on an occasional chair, sofa or headboard where its warm taupe-beige tone can soften darker wood, natural linen and earthy accent colours. Its restrained texture also works well in relaxed, tonal interiors that need warmth without a pronounced pattern.

Its warm taupe-beige tone and quiet woven texture suit relaxed upholstery schemes with natural timber and layered neutrals.

Pairs well with

Ilana Spice is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
