Black Edition

Otoko Shadow

Nuala Fabric

Otoko Shadow combines a muted blue-grey ground with pale, irregular abstract shapes, creating a softly graphic surface. Its crosshatched weave gives the colourway a dry, tactile character rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

The swatch is built from cool blue-grey and chalky pale tones, with broad organic forms broken up by fine horizontal and vertical threads. Close-set crosshatching remains visible across the surface, adding depth and a lightly weathered textile effect. The medium-scale abstract pattern reads clearly without becoming overly sharp, while variations in the blue-grey ground keep the design atmospheric. As a fabric SKU with no additional performance specification supplied, its suitability here is judged from the visibly substantial woven construction and stable appearance.

How to use it

Bring Otoko Shadow into a reading chair, bench or accent sofa where its cool blue-grey tone can sit against ivory, oatmeal and pale timber. Dark metal or charcoal details will draw out the deeper blue-grey passages in the weave.

Use this cool blue-grey colourway on occasional upholstery, balancing its pale woven marks with warm neutrals or dark timber.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
