Oriku Wallcovering Steel

Oriku Wallcovering Steel combines a warm taupe ground with cool steel-grey lines arranged in flowing, overlapping forms. The fine parallel markings create a calm but distinctly directional surface.

About this wallpaper

Catalogued as wallpaper, this colourway presents an abstract composition of broad, curved shapes picked out with closely spaced linear bands. The taupe base keeps the overall impression soft and grounded, while the steel-grey drawing brings cool definition and depth. The pattern reads as layered rather than sharply geometric, with the changing direction of each line giving the wall a sense of quiet movement. No performance features are noted for this design.

How to use it

Pair the warm taupe background with natural timber, stone and soft grey upholstery, using the steel-grey linework as a gentle bridge between warm and cool furnishings. It is particularly effective where angled or natural light can reveal the pattern’s shifting directions.

Use this quietly contrasted taupe and steel-grey design to add movement without overpowering a room.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Oriku Wallcovering Steel without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
