Ombre Charcoal

Fusion FabricCCF0563-02

Ombre Charcoal creates a cool, atmospheric surface through irregular vertical bands that shift between deep charcoal and misty grey. Its fine, tactile weave gives the changing tones a softly softened edge.

About this fabric

This 279gsm fabric has a visibly textured horizontal weave, with darker charcoal columns alternating against lighter grey-silver areas. The tonal bands are subtly uneven rather than sharply geometric, giving the surface a gently weathered ombré effect as the light moves across it. With a 137cm usable width, it offers a practical mid-weight option for both upholstery and drapery. The design has a 71cm vertical repeat and a 68.7cm horizontal repeat, worth allowing for when matching the broad tonal movement.

How to use it

Use Ombre Charcoal on a statement chair, headboard or full-length curtain where its cool depth can anchor a room. Balance the near-black charcoal passages with chalky grey, pale oak and warm ivory to keep the scheme from feeling stark.

Pair the cool charcoal ground with pale woods, brushed metal and soft grey upholstery for a layered, contemporary scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Ombre Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
