About this fabric

This Clarke & Clarke wallpaper has a broad, mottled mineral effect, with charcoal and mid-grey areas softened by chalky white highlights and scattered rust and ochre accents. The printed design is organised into large rectangular sections, creating the impression of weathered stone or aged industrial panels rather than a regular geometric repeat. It has a usable width of 52 cm, a vertical pattern repeat of 52 cm and a standard roll length of 10.05 m. At 150 gsm, it is a relatively lightweight wallcovering with a visually substantial, textured-looking finish.

How to use it

Use Igneous Slate on a feature wall in a contemporary living room, study or boutique-style bedroom, balancing its cool grey depth with warm oak, aged brass and soft ivory upholstery. The restrained rust and ochre flecks also pick up terracotta accessories without making the scheme feel overly colourful.

Use this cool mineral grey with charcoal, aged metal and warm timber for a sophisticated industrial scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Igneous Slate without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
