Hampstead Charcoal

Halcyon FabricCCF0180-02

Hampstead Charcoal presents a cool charcoal-grey ground crossed by a fine pale geometric trellis. Its tightly repeated diamond detail gives the surface a softly textured, quietly graphic appearance.

About this fabric

The close-set pattern forms linked diamonds and small lattice shapes, creating a precise rhythm across the charcoal face. Pale grey threads soften the contrast without losing the depth of the darker ground, while the fine texture catches the light gently. At 396gsm and 137cm wide, this is a substantial furnishing fabric suited to upholstery. The vertical pattern repeat is 10cm and the horizontal repeat is 8.5cm, allowing the geometry to be aligned neatly across a project.

How to use it

Use Hampstead Charcoal on a tailored sofa, dining chair or occasional seat where its cool grey tone can anchor softer stone, ivory and brushed-metal accents. The small-scale trellis also works well on shaped upholstery without overwhelming the form.

The cool charcoal ground and fine pale trellis make this a composed choice for tailored upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Hampstead Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
