About this fabric

Paxton is a textile fabric from Larsen with a repeat of approximately V 21cm / H 18cm and a width of approximately 142cm. Its composition of 40% cotton, 25% wool, 15% polyester, 12% acrylic and 8% viscose gives the cloth a grounded, lightly brushed handle that suits upholstery as well as softer furnishing use. In this colourway, the charcoal marks sit close to the surface and read slightly heathered, which keeps the pattern feeling calm against the pale background. The small-scale arrangement gives the design a tailored rhythm, making it easy to use without dominating the scheme.

How to use it

Use Paxton Charcoal to add measured pattern to an armchair, banquette or cushions, where the muted grey-on-ivory contrast feels refined. It also works well alongside painted timber, pale oak and plain linens for a clean, layered look.

A quietly patterned charcoal that adds texture without overwhelming a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
