Sophie Sable

Agathe FabricM4093-01

Sophie Sable pairs a soft sandy ground with fine vertical stripes that read warm, calm and lightly tailored. The repeat is understated, giving the fabric a neat rhythm without losing its gentle, cloth-like feel.

About this fabric

Woven in a 55% viscose, 35% cotton and 10% polyamide blend, Sophie Sable has a smooth, refined handle that suits both furnishing and curtain use. The design shows narrow vertical striping with a 2cm horizontal repeat approximately and a 0cm vertical repeat, creating a disciplined pinstripe effect across the width. In this colourway, the beige base sits close to oatmeal and cream, while the stripe detail brings a mellow sable-gold note rather than a stark contrast. At approximately 142cm wide, it offers practical coverage for upholstery projects and tailored drapery alike. The overall impression is smart but soft, with enough texture and tonal warmth to keep the stripe from feeling severe.

How to use it

Use this colourway for a made-to-measure headboard, slipper chair or Roman blind where the warm beige stripe can add quiet structure. It also works well with natural woods, chalky whites and bronzed metal accents.

A soft sable stripe that feels tailored and versatile on curtains or classic upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Sophie Sable without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
