Suzanne Ciel shows a pale ciel blue ground lifted by a delicate ivory damask motif. The overall effect is airy and refined, with the pattern reading clearly without feeling heavy.

About this fabric

Suzanne Ciel from the Agathe collection by Manuel Canovas is a 142cm-wide fabric woven in 57% viscose, 33% cotton and 10% polyamide. The repeat measures approximately V 20cm by H 18cm, giving the small damask a neat, closely set rhythm across the surface. In this colourway, the blue is light and cool rather than saturated, while the cream motif sits just above the ground with a soft, slightly luminous contrast. The result feels polished and decorative, with enough texture and body to work for both upholstery and drapery. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this exact quality.

How to use it

Use it where you want a fresh, tailored note: on a bergère, dining chairs, or relaxed curtains in a room with white, oak or chalky painted finishes. The pale ciel tone keeps the pattern light, so it pairs especially well with greys, soft neutrals and other cool blues.

A fresh blue ground with a crisp ivory pattern suits tailored upholstery or elegant curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
