Sophie Rose Ancien

Agathe FabricM4093-02

Sophie Rose Ancien is a delicate vertical stripe with a pale, airy presence and a softly brushed look. The rose and apricot tones sit on a creamy ground, giving the fabric a gentle warmth rather than a sharp contrast.

About this fabric

Woven in a 55% viscose, 35% cotton and 10% polyamide composition, this Manuel Canovas fabric has the feel of a refined mid-weight textile rather than a crisp sheer. The stripe repeats at approximately 2cm horizontally with no vertical repeat, which keeps the surface orderly and easy to place. Its narrow bands of blush pink, warm apricot and soft cream read light and fresh in the image, with just enough tonal variation to stop the design from feeling flat. At approximately 142cm wide and marked √BM, it is a versatile fabric for considered interiors where a neat stripe is wanted.

How to use it

Use it where you want colour without heaviness: the soft pink-apricot palette works especially well on Roman blinds, cushions or a small occasional chair. It pairs neatly with bleached woods, chalky paint colours and quiet neutrals.

A refined pale stripe that feels fresh and elegant on blinds, loose covers or tailored upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Sophie Rose Ancien without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
