About this fabric

This plain fabric from Jane Churchill’s Emile II collection is composed of 50% cotton and 50% polyester, with a width of approximately 140cm. The finish in this colourway is a dark chocolate brown that feels rich and low-key, with just enough tonal variation in the weave to stop it looking flat. With no repeat to manage, it is an easy choice for clean-lined upholstery or restrained window treatment. The C 8 + T 3 care code and K fire code should be checked against the intended use, but the overall impression is practical, smart and quietly luxurious.

How to use it

Use Emile Chocolate to anchor a room with oak, brass or tan leather, where the warm brown tone can add depth without dominating. It works especially well in schemes that need a darker neutral with a softer, more woven feel than black.

A rich dark brown that gives upholstery or curtains a tailored, grounded finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
