Lyle Straw is a soft straw-beige Hudson fabric with a neat all-over diamond motif and a gently pebbled weave. The fine pattern reads quietly from a distance, giving the colourway a warm, tailored look.

About this fabric

Woven in a 70% cotton, 19% acrylic, 7% linen and 4% polyester blend, Lyle Straw has the feel of a practical decorative fabric with enough structure for either curtains or light upholstery. The repeat is a compact V 2cm / H 2cm approx, which keeps the small diamond lattice crisp and orderly across the cloth. In this colourway the palette sits in a pale straw-beige range, with a creamy ground and slightly deeper biscuit threads that add depth without darkening the overall effect. The 138cm approx width makes it straightforward for both large and small schemes, while the Q 8 + T 3 care code and √BH fire code support everyday domestic use.

How to use it

Its warm, hushed beige tone works especially well with pale oak, chalk white and natural linens. Pair it with textured cushions or pared-back drapery where the small geometric surface can add interest without overpowering the room.

Use it for a calm neutral scheme with a lightly textured, tailored finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
