About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen, Jardine Red/Green has the relaxed natural handle you would expect from this type of fabric, with a width of approximately 140cm and a large repeat of about 70cm vertically and 140cm horizontally. The print reads as an English garden scene rather than a simple floral, with coral and crimson blooms, leafy greens and touches of powder blue set against a warm ivory ground. The overall effect is lively but balanced, with enough freshness in the background to keep the reds from feeling too heavy. It carries the Colefax and Fowler decorative character well, while the linen base and Q 8 + T 3 care code make it practical to specify in the home.

How to use it

Use this colourway to bring warmth and movement into a sitting room, dining room or bedroom where a cream ground can stop the pattern feeling too dense. It pairs especially well with painted woodwork, aged brass and quieter plains in moss, stone or soft red.

A richly detailed botanical print that brings colour and character to classic interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
