About this fabric

This textile is composed of 56% silk and 44% cotton, giving the surface a subtle natural lustre with enough body to hold the large botanical repeat. The design repeats at approximately V 57cm / H 130cm and the wide, scrolling leaves and flowers are printed in muted old blue, grey and soft sage tones. Against the creamy base, the motif feels gently aged and slightly atmospheric, with the blue shade appearing cool and chalky rather than bright. At approximately 130cm wide, it is well suited to larger-scale making-up where the full sweep of the pattern can be appreciated. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want a restrained, classic blue that still has presence: it works well on drapes, cushions or statement upholstery in rooms with warm timber or painted white joinery. The faded blue-grey palette sits especially well with neutrals, stone and soft green accents.

The pale blue-grey print feels calm and tailored against the warm ivory ground.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
