About this fabric

Woven in a 63% linen, 22% cotton and 15% viscose blend, this fabric has the dry, lightly textured handle you would expect from a linen-led cloth. The blue stripes read cool and misty rather than bright, sitting against a pale cream ground that keeps the overall effect airy. A vertical repeat of 2cm approx and a horizontal repeat of 38cm approx create a steady, regular stripe that feels orderly on larger pieces. At 152cm approx wide, it is a practical cloth for furnishing schemes where a crisp striped direction is wanted.

How to use it

Use this soft blue stripe on a relaxed armchair, bench cushion or pair of curtains where you want a fresh but restrained colour. It sits especially well with bleached woods, chalky whites and brushed nickel.

A fresh blue stripe that feels crisp and classic with a tailored, understated finish.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Lawn Stripe Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
