Kanaga Desert

Tana FabricL9305-02

Kanaga Desert shows a warm, sandy ring pattern running in tidy horizontal bands across a pale natural ground. The effect is airy and textural, with the motif reading softly rather than starkly.

About this fabric

Part of Larsen’s Tana collection, Kanaga Desert is woven in a substantial 310cm approximate width, making it well suited to broad applications and generous drops. The composition of 46% linen, 30% polyester and 24% jute gives the cloth a dry, natural handle that matches the visible slub and grounded weave in the image. Its repeated circular bands are picked out in a muted desert beige, sitting gently against the lighter background for a calm, layered look. The overall tone is warm and understated, with enough pattern to add interest without overpowering a room.

How to use it

Use this soft beige colourway where you want texture before colour: it works well with oak, pale stone and tactile neutrals. The horizontal ring bands suit wide curtains or upholstered pieces that benefit from a subtle rhythmic pattern.

A warm, woven geometric that brings a refined natural texture to relaxed contemporary schemes.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Kanaga Desert without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
