About this fabric

This colourway reads as an earthy sesame taupe, lighter and warmer in the highlights than the deeper threads that settle into the weave. The cloth has a dry, natural-looking texture, with the linen and cotton content visible in the slightly uneven, grainy surface. With a width of approximately 137cm and a composition of 52% Linen, 37% Viscose, 9% Cotton and 2% Polyester, it has a useful balance of natural character and a smoother drape from the viscose content. The repeat is 0cm vertical and 0cm horizontal, so the effect is all about the texture rather than a directional pattern. It is marked √CM for fire compliance.

How to use it

Use Sesame where you want a calm, tonal fabric that sits comfortably with oak, walnut and chalky neutrals. It works especially well on tailored upholstery or relaxed curtains when you want warmth without adding colour contrast.

A quietly versatile taupe that layers easily with timber, linen and darker accent tones.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
