About this fabric

Woven in 100% polyester, this 138cm-wide chenille has a close, tactile texture with fine horizontal and vertical tonal movement visible across the swatch. The deep navy shade reads cool and inky in the shadowed areas, while raised fibres catch the light with a slightly softer blue glint. It is suitable for contract and domestic upholstery and is machine washable for practical everyday use. The fabric has Domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy and can be treated to Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Use this cool, inky navy on a sofa, occasional chair or upholstered headboard where its subtly mottled surface can add depth without introducing a strong motif. Pair it with pale neutrals for contrast or layer it with charcoal and brushed metal for a sharper, tailored scheme.

Use the deep navy tone to bring grounded contrast to sofas, chairs and upholstered headboards.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
