About this fabric
Made from 100% polyester, this 138cm-wide velvet is suitable for both contract and domestic upholstery. Its plain face is defined by a close, even pile rather than a printed motif, while the cobalt tone gives the cloth a saturated yet controlled presence. The directional nap creates darker and lighter blue passages as the surface moves, adding depth without introducing a pattern. CAM1759 is machine washable and has domestic cigarette-and-match flame retardancy; it can also be treated to Crib 5 contract grade.
How to use it
Use this intense cobalt colourway to give a sofa, armchair or upholstered headboard a confident focal point, especially alongside warm timber, brushed brass or soft neutral walls. Keep surrounding textiles relatively quiet so the velvet’s changing blue pile remains the main source of depth.
