About this fabric

Made from 100% polyester, this 138cm-wide velvet is suitable for both contract and domestic upholstery. The near-black charcoal tone reads softer than a flat black, with a muted sheen and plush nap visible across the swatch. It has machine-washable aftercare and Domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy, with the option to be treated to Crib 5 contract grade. The dense, tactile appearance makes it particularly well suited to upholstered seating and headboards.

How to use it

Use this charcoal-black colourway to give a sofa, armchair or headboard a grounded, enveloping look. Balance its dark depth with pale stone walls, warm timber or brushed brass so the velvet’s subtle surface variation remains visible.

Use this deep charcoal-black velvet on sofas, occasional chairs or headboards, pairing it with lighter upholstery or warm metallic accents for contrast.
