About this fabric

The dense chenille weave reads as near-black charcoal, softened by subtle grey and muted taupe strands that catch across its horizontal texture. Its nubby surface has a gently irregular character rather than a printed motif, making the colour feel layered and architectural. This 138cm-wide fabric is made from 94% polyester and 6% acrylic and is suitable for both contract and domestic upholstery. It is machine washable, with Domestic Cig & Match GreenFR® flame retardancy and the option to be treated to contract grade.

How to use it

Use this charcoal-black colourway to give a sofa, bench or dining chair a grounded, tailored finish, particularly alongside pale timber, stone and warm metallic accents. Its flecked texture can also soften a near-black upholstery scheme without introducing a brighter colour.

A deep charcoal-black chenille that brings tailored depth to sofas, dining chairs and occasional upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
