About this fabric

Made from 100% polyester, this 138cm-wide velvet has a finely ribbed surface with a soft, directional appearance. Its near-black charcoal tone is lifted by subtle cool grey and blue-green highlights where the pile changes direction, preventing the colour from reading as flat black. It is graded for contract upholstery and is machine washable. The listed flame-retardancy specification is Domestic Cig & Match GreenFR®, and the fabric can be treated to contract grade.

How to use it

Use this cool, deep charcoal velvet on a sofa, headboard or occasional chair where its near-black tone can anchor lighter walls and warm timber. The narrow vertical texture adds quiet definition without introducing a separate pattern.

Use this dark charcoal velvet to bring tailored depth and a subtle light-catching texture to upholstered seating.
