About this fabric

This 100% polyester velvet is 138cm wide and specified as Contract upholstery grade, making it suited to hard-working upholstered furniture. The dusty mauve shade sits between pink and lilac, with a restrained, powdery depth rather than a bright or highly saturated colour. Fine vertical pile marks catch the light in narrow shifts, giving the plain surface a gentle velvety variation. It is machine washable, and its flame retardancy is listed as Domestic Cig & Match GreenFR®; it can be treated to contract grade.

How to use it

Pair this cool, dusty mauve with warm ivory, mushroom or pale grey upholstery details to keep the room calm while adding a refined blush-lilac accent. It works especially well on a statement chair, banquette or compact sofa where the directional pile can be appreciated.

Use this muted mauve velvet to bring a softly coloured, polished finish to upholstered seating and occasional chairs.
