About this fabric

Woven as a 100% polyester chenille, CAN2473 has a dense-looking surface with subtle vertical slubs and tonal flecks visible across the plum ground. Its 138cm width makes it suitable for contract and domestic upholstery, including seating where the colour can provide a strong, enveloping backdrop. The berry tone leans cool and wine-dark, while the textured pile catches the light in slightly lighter and deeper bands. Aftercare is machine washable, and the fabric has domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy with the option to be treated to Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Use this cool, wine-dark plum on a statement armchair, sofa or dining seat, pairing it with warm timber, aged brass and muted neutral walls. Its tonal texture also works well against dusky pink, charcoal or soft mushroom accents.

A rich berry-plum chenille that brings depth to upholstered seating while its subtle woven texture prevents the colour feeling flat.
